League of Lunches (Good Sport Magazine)
Good Sport magazine
Whilst the expectation may be that the ones in the dark are in fact the gamers, it’s really those who are unaware of Esports’ magnitude who are in the cultural lurch. In 2018 Esports is expected to aroused a lofty revenue of $905.6 Million USD a year on year growth of +38.2%; those paying close attention expect the industry to rack together in excess of $1.6B USD come the year 2020. An economic escalator compelling many to shift industry. From players, to sports commentators to (ball) sport investors people are taking this very very seriously.
adicolor Studio (adidas)
To celebrate the launch of the the new adicolor range in Australia a 3 week artist’s residency was hosted in Foot Locker's flagship Sydney store. Attendees were presented with the option to drop in and freshen up their brand new adicolor items with an artist of their choice.
PSP designed and directed this space of customized Adidas garb; complete with custom adicolor coat hangers and rotating dry-cleaning display.

'Pollination' was a campaign in partnership with Honey Fingers for Pidapipó Gelateria. We worked to create an integrated campaign which not only celebrated the new flavour range but also helped feed the urban bee population. Alongside Honey Fingers, PSP developed and designed the packets for 'bee friendly flower seeds' to be given with each gelato purchase. To support the campaign we created an informercial with nona Ione to explain the importance of helping the city bees as well as post cards for each flavour.

Aluminium Can (Pitch Music & Arts)
A introductory video for Pitch Music & Arts Festival to an unspecified experience, the viewer is unsure of what exactly they’re being inducted to. The dialogue is vague, circular and full of empty buzz words, but eludes to the elusive Good Time that people
attend Pitch for.

26 Original Fakes (NGV Design Week)
PSP were invited by Friends & Associates to participate in an exhibition for NGV's Melbourne Design Week titled 26 Original Fakes. Participants were each given a replica Jasper Morrison HAL chair to rehash into an original. The exhibition asked designers to examine the merit of authenticity, current design values and the importance of originality.
When we are questioning the merit of genuine vs. replica, there is a point where performance becomes irrelevant. Their profiles may appear identical but it’s what's ‘under the hood’ that counts.
PractiseStudioPractise’s High-Octane Replica HAL Chair Genuine Original (PSP-H0C-01) has all the hallmarks of an original but evades certainty. Beneath the custom-fit, UV-resistant protective material with in-built hail protection is a chair whose authenticity will be left undetermined. Alongside it; premium tools for highly tuned furniture.
PolishShinePlus+ Replica Genuine Original Furniture Maintenance Kit (PSP-H0C-02:06)
The PolishShinePlus+ Replica Genuine Original Furniture Maintenance Kit is a highly specialised, scientifically advanced selection of premium furniture tuning products. To maintain that genuine original look, PSP prescribes frequent and diligent maintenance with this premium selection of waxes, polishes and tools.

Textbook Otis (Otis Armada)
Tools of the trade
‘Tit for tat, butter for fat, if you kick my dog, ill kick your cat’ Nick Zeki, Student 1987.
Textbook Otis rung the long-dormant bell of the Collingwood Technical College (1912-1987) with an enlivened curriculum of food, art, music and wine. Amongst a belligerent cohort, a strict curriculum of 5 periods was enjoyed on campus. Those in attendance tasted the labour of tested trades across a meal riddled with enjoyment, employment and education.

Fat Brad, The Cookbook (Long Prawn)
Fat Brad, The Cookbook is a definitive exploration into the on-screen eating habits of William Bradley “Brad” Pitt. Part fan fantasy, part filmic study, Fat Brad meticulously reimagines the best scenes where Brad chomps. From Rusty’s carpark burger in Ocean's 11 to Tyler’s questionable Seafood Bisque in Fight Club, no plate is left unturned.
Fat Brad, The Cookbook is the first in a series of Long Prawn Cookbooks that scrounges together edible ideas inspired by pop culture. A series of LP–Cookbooks that applaud fans who are willing to play with their food. The LP–Cookbooks are set to be a varied collection of edible research and obscure cultural folly. Books that feed fandom, fascinations and of course, your gut.

Enter The Grid (adidas Originals)
"An immersive, audio visual experience built to celebrate the launch of the DEERUPT shoe at HYPE DC and space for the youth of Sydney to interpret for themselves. Taking a single idea from the adidas archives — a structural web that once encased only the sole of some of its heritage sneakers - Deerupt stretches the concept to conform to the entire shoe."
PSP designed a space tha greeted those attending with mobile grid-form installations by Studio Chen Lu then coerced them into an LED warped infinity corridor. The 'enter the grid' space embodied the theme through soft, hard and also projected grid fabrics by John Fish.
Sole Searching (MPavilion)
Sole Searching by PSP was a workshop held at MPavilion where participants created reflexology matts. The event examined the affects and benefits that architecture, texture and design can have on one’s wellbeing.
Whilst a rock in your shoe can be an infuriating tick, the restorative power of a rock under foot is widely practised. Reflexologists and PSP suggest that applying pressure to certain areas of the foot can target maladies of vital organs and improve one’s general well being.
Through a strategic and thoughtful application of embellishments, Sole Searching participants will create segments of a modern day reflexology path. In it’s own way, each contribution to the path will explore the physical and architectural implications of walkable design. Flat footed thinking will be set aside for an open forum of creative practice and the traditional principles of reflexology.
Sole Searchers are encouraged to take their special segment of the reflexology path home after the workshop for continued embellishment and healing.
Otis Spring (Otis Armada)
The Spring of 2014 saw Otis Armada reveal the second in a series of seasonal bootleg dining experiences in Melbourne. Otis Armada Spring invited guests to participate in one of three slow-burning lunchtime degustations that celebrated the most affable aspects of both childhood and adulthood.
More information at Otis Armada !
The underlying theme of Otis Spring ‘Play with your Food’ sought to channel those all-too-often suppressed urges of mess-making and childhood play. With this sentiment in mind, we produced fifteen large-scale hand painted ply and chipboard art works that enveloped the dining space and belittled the guests.
One can't encourage mess without being prepared, as such, we created numerous sets of abstract ‘play safe’ collector cards in lieu of menus which revealed each dish. Custom built communal tables lined with sketch paper and handmade wabi-sabi ceramic cups evoked feelings of the kid’s table, whist Otis wine guy Ned Brooks embraced adulthood as he free poured a selection of small-batch booze.
To look the part we selected Puebco tarp aprons and matching polyurethane Birkenstock Super-birki clogs for all kitchen and wait staff. The dual coloured uniforms were reversed spontaneously at various stages of the feast for full effect. Refreshing cool towels steeped in a fragrant blend designed by William Rankin served as an antidote to the unrelenting heat as Otis Spring guests arrived for lunch.
At the tail end of the feast when our guests were feeling nice and infantilised we screened a wobbly digestion film created by Coco & Maximilian. Here guests were invited to sip on a digestive tonic inside the industrial refrigerator room that housed the films across six television sets.
Otis Armada Spring was a true stew of edible and interactive art. An afternoon of sophisticated springtime flavours, childhood nostalgia and most of all a triumphant tabletop mess.

Don 1 (1-OK.CLUB)
PSP were commissioned by 1-OK Club to create a one-off prototype product to be exhibited at the National Gallery of Victoria in ‘Works 1-43’.
Dimensions 37cm x 72cm x 220cm
Materials Steel, PVC Plastic
PVC Plastic strips can be commonly found fixed to the entrances of suburban fish n chip shops, milk bars and butchers. PSP wanted to experiment with this material outside of its common context in the form of furniture. This material, is first and foremost a choice made by these traders based on functionality, but for PSP these dangling straps captured the essence of suburban Australia and the culture of take-away food. ‘Don 1’ the chair is the material embodiment of a story we created about a suburban butcher named Don.
The Brutalist Being (Otis Armada)
PSP directed the brand identity and visual campaign for convivial dinner party, Otis.Brutal. 2016 which sought to introduce the idea of Brutalist architecture embodied by a set of human characters.
More information at Otis Armada !
A Brutalist Being channels the ‘Brutalist’s’ triumphant indifference to commonality. Stern and straight in posture, meticulously dressed and unwaveringly original.
This campaign imagery and video defined the promotional material for the Otis.Brutal dining events including website and social media. The Brutalist Being was also screened in accompaniment with the dessert course during the event.
Otis Brutal (Assemble/Open House Melbourne)
Determined to reclaim the core elements of food, art, wine and music that evade superficiality, Otis Brutal was a dining series that approached communal eating in an entirely new fashion. By channeling Brutalist architecture indifferenct to commonality, the event happily triumphed elements which disrupted the banalities of modern dining.

Otis.Brutal. channeled the Brutalist’s triumphant indifference to commonality. A deliberate flouting of conventional ideas of beauty. An event determined to reclaim the core elements of food, art, wine and music which evade superficiality.
Guests were led from the street through the Brutalist facade of the venue to a vacant textile factory where the brutalist fare ensued. Once seated in immovably solid rows, guests were presented with a standard issue prison tray for their first course. Cold cut meats, sloe berry jam, cultured butter and grilled chicken hearts were served alongside handmade dry crackers. The superfluous food trends were abandoned and the wine was stripped back to bare basics. From the wearable napkins to the synchronised service, a comfortable control was imposed on the guests. A Brutalists utopia allowed people to learn about Brutalism and engage with dining in a completely new way. We deprived guests of non essential niceties, heightening their appreciation for the basics and arresting their attention.
From the tarp uniforms we designed with Freitag, to the tables and chairs we built – function was everything. We forged knives out of steel specifically for the pork course which was carved in the center of the space for immediate dispatch. A generous barrage of unfluffy food and wine ensued, as a bespoke soundtrack matched the meat. We don't expect all art, films and literature to be pretty so why is it we expect our meals to be?
As with previous events diners left with their embossed knife from the feast. A memento to remember a time they became Brutalist Beings.
